Patrick currently resides deep in the suburbs of Boston, Massachusetts. He sucks at sports, can't play any musical instruments, and suffers from crippling anxiety. In his spare time, he can be found trying to beat his best friend's score at Ms. Pacman or passed out on the couch after a tiring day of Law & Order: SVU reruns. His favorite things include television, music, and comedy. He dislikes almost everything else, especially the Tori episodes of Saved by the Bell.
Some years back, my friend was cruising down the vitamin aisle at the local druggist’s shop and a bottle of Ginkgo Biloba was staring her down. The label had some promising claims printed right on the side, like “Enhance Your Memory and Prevent Memory Loss!” She grabbed a few bottles and skipped all the way home to share with the household.
Later that night, the lot of us conducted a few internet searches on the product and were convinced we’d all be a walking encyclopedia in a weeks time. We popped a few tablets, partied the night away, and we all awoke the next morning covered in mysterious rashes strategically scattered all over our bodies. Rain Men we were not.
