the miseducation of patrick dunn
Patrick currently resides deep in the suburbs of Boston, Massachusetts. He sucks at sports, can't play any musical instruments, and suffers from crippling anxiety. In his spare time, he can be found trying to beat his best friend's score at Ms. Pacman or passed out on the couch after a tiring day of Law & Order: SVU reruns. His favorite things include television, music, and comedy. He dislikes almost everything else, especially the Tori episodes of Saved by the Bell.
December 4th, 1928. St Paul, Minnesota:
“Dapper” Dan Hogan, a saloon keeper and mob boss, became the first known human being to be killed as a result of a car bomb. At approximately 11:30am, Hogan hopped behind the wheel of his Paige coupe and a bomb hidden beneath the floorboards exploded when he started the car’s ignition. The blast nearly tore off his right leg and he was found bleeding profusely. Doctors had to amputate his right leg in hopes to save him. However, nine hours after the blast he passed away.
Following the attacks, Leila Hogan, his widow, claimed to have seen two men drive up and stop at the Hogan garage just hours before the explosion. At the funeral, Leila was heard saying, “I am sure there will be justice. If Danny had lived, he would have gone on the one leg they left him and taken care of it himself.” To this day, the murder is considered unsolved. The FBI recently declassified some of their files that claimed Hogan’s underboss, Harry Sawyer, was most likely the culprit.
